Forum Posting to Bring Visitors to Your Blog
Forum posting is still a popular way to bring in traffic to your blog or any site you are maintaining. However it requires a bit more effort because you have to create a good presence on the forum you are frequenting.
For example, you can’t just join a forum and start pasting links to your blog with every forum post that you make. Because for most forums, the administrators require that you first reach a certain number of posts before you can past live links or even put a link to your site as part of your signature.
In short, you have to be really active in the forums and create a relationship with the other users. Only then can you start pasting your own links. Another benefit for this is if you keep on providing good and informative answers, people will start to see you as an expert in your field. Naturally, they will be interested to read more about you so they will click through to your blog.
There are other benefits of being an active member in any forum but these are the primary ones.
