Writing good content is a powerful way to increase blog traffic. Writing a great post can produce it own viral traffic.  As people come to your blog and read the your post they will start to tell others.  This is usually done by linking, bookmarking or tweeting it.

The Internet is primarily a content driven media. And your ability to produce content people want to read is one way to bring a lot of traffic to your blog.  The trick is figuring out what people want to read, and what will attract them in the first place.

How do you write content people are looking for in the search engines

OK, this goes right back to the correct usage of keywords. In fact finding and using the right keywords is the first step in providing answers or good material. And that requires doing some research to figure out the phrases folks are typing into Google while they are searching for answers to their questions.

Fortunately doing your research has become much easier in the past few years. There are plenty of tools available to out there making this quick and accurate. In fact, many of these tools are free. Most notably Google’s keyword tool.

Once you find the words or phrases people are typing in the search engines the next step is to get writing. Many times, especially if you are familiar with your subject matter, this step is pretty easy. It almost seems as if the words jump on to the paper.

This is because when you have a lot of knowledge about your subject you will find most any question easy to answer. Plus, most of the time these questions are at the beginner to intermediate level.

Yeah but what if it’s a subject you are not familiar with?

There is an easy solution to this question. You can go to the search engines yourself and locate the answers. Get your answers from multiple sources, and then write a post providing a solution.
